Yes People! Once again Riddimtion will be hosing Sheffield’s original Bob Marley tribute night to celebrate the birthday of a true reggae legend… At the Clubhouse on London Rd we will be playing alongside a stellar lineup of Reggae and Dancehall DJ’s & Producers old and new – All on the Full Force Riddimtion Soundsystem!!!!

Featuring:

***ORIGIN ONE***
Nottingham based Reggae, Dancehall and Bass music producer, Signed to NICE UP! Records. Origin One has produced some of the ruffest tuffest riddims around… Expect Unique Productions with Earth Shattering Basslines alongside wicked MC’s to keep you dancing til the small hours!

***UNITONE CREW***
With over 30 years in the business, Unitone represent the foundation of Sheffield Sounds and continue to be an inspiration for aspiring reggae sounds in the city. Selector Benji Hype will be bringing us his unique blend – NOT TO BE MISSED!!

***ROB SEQUIOA***
Rob has been involved in the Sheffield Reggae scene for many years now as one of the driving forces behind the Sequoia Sound System. Recently involved with the brilliant Shanty Town he’ll be joining us to bring his own brand of reggae and Dancehall to the table!

***SCRAGGA YOUTH***
One of Riddimtion’s Original Founders – We’re welcoming him back to bring you the niceness as only he can!!!

We’re proud to announce that we’ll be moving our monthly night from the Cremorne on London Rd to the West St Ale House. This is a larger venue owned by many of the same guys that have run the Cremorne so expect the same friendly welcoming atmosphere and we’ll still be playing our own particular blen of roots, reggae, dancehall, ragga and dub… Bring those dancing shoes!

It’s difficult to pick out favourite tracks but highlights have to be the opening “WHOOOAAAAA” of track 9 ‘positive vibration’ ( I double dare you to put it full-volume on your headphones!!) , the sing-along chorus of track 5 ‘ lost soul’ the stunning vocals for the K.O.G intro track, the word ‘cantakerous’ in track 4 (it’s a great word!). If you support your local music scene, if you support music bringing a positive message, if you support homemade, if you support reggae tunes, if you support dancing… then support this debut album from RIDDIMTION featuring various names from our local Sheffield talent and those from further afield. If you can’t afford to buy then please make sure you have a listen to these tracks and give the RIDDIMTION family a boost, offer your feedback, give them a pat on the back…. 13 years of blood, sweat and raves!!! let’s look forward to the next 13 years of music, gigs, studio parties, festivals, road-trips and GOOD VIBES.
